Naqsh-e Jahan Square
Naqsh-e Jahan Square as the first site registered in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list consists of four plots: Shah Mosque in the southern part, Ali Qapu Palace in the western part, Sheikh Lotfollah mosque in the eastern part, and Isfahan Grand Bazaar in the northern part and each has their own value and beauty. Naqsh-e Jahan square is located in the center of Isfahan one of the biggest cities in Iran and it is also one of the largest city squares in the world as an outstanding example of Iranian Islamic architecture. The word Naqshe-e Jahan means (the image of the world).
It was built by Safavid king Shah Abbas I the Great only 360 years ago, it is one of the most attractive sites of Iran.
